Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the nail and nail bed. It is the unsightly condition no one wants to talk about because the thick, yellow nails can be embarrassing. Onychomycosis is fairly common and now treatable with laser therapy – without the prescription medication that carries a high risk of liver toxicity!
Treatments take around 10 minutes each, with most patients needing 3-4 treatments spaced 7-10 days apart. The laser beam is applied directly to the nail bed, with no damage to the nail or surrounding tissue. It simply kills the fungus, resulting in new, clear nail growth. Laser therapy is proven to be a very effective cure for nail fungus infection.
